The LGA designed and managed a three-day Training Workshop on Updating the City Revenue Code of Vigan held on March 15-17, 2016 at the Vigan Culture and Trade Center, Vigan City. The training helped the participants identify prominent economic drivers that will enhance the local economy and the city’s fiscal accountability.
A model template on City Revenue Code was provided and made available to the participants to guide them in the step-by-step procedure in formulating and updating their revenue code. The process involves rationalizing the rates and structure of the Code to generate more revenues for the city.
Former Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) Director Erlito Pardo led the participants on the process of coming-up with the updated City Revenue Code. The training was participated by thirty seven (37) participants composed of the Vice Mayor, SP Members, Functionaries and DILG Field Officer of Vigan City.
