Pasig City – Exemplars of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) will once again be recognized at the Local Government Academy (LGA) Capacity Development Awards for Catalyst of Excellence (CapDev ACE) on Monday, December 09, 2019 at the Maynila Ballroom, Manila Hotel.
Now on its 4th consecutive year, the awards program is designed to recognize the “matino, mahusay, at maasahang” DILG – LG sector officials, employees, and LGRRC units who have displayed outstanding performance in the delivery of programs, projects, and activities through capacity development.
The LGA will be giving out the following awards, with the addition of two (2) new categories – Dagitab ng Paglilingkod for DILG central and regional administrative officer or staff and the Hall of Fame for an awardee who has won in the same category for 3 consecutive years:
Award on Exemplary Performance (Individual)
- Tatag ng Agila
- Singsing ng Tanikala
- Dagitab ng Paglilingkod (New Category)
LGRRC Champions (Team)
- Bugkos ng Bayan
- Ugnay ng Mamamayan
- Bagwis ng Paglilingkod sa Bayan
- Hall of Fame (New Category)
Shortlisted nominees for each category have undergone a series of assessment including interviews by the members of the technical working group of the LGA and the Awards committee.
The Awards Committee is composed of LGA Executive Director Thelma T. Vecina, Former Regional Director of Western Visayas Evelyn Trompeta, former CSC Chairperson Corazon Alma de Leon, former Secretary of the Interior and Local Government Jose D. Lina, Jr., DILG Assistant Secretary for Human Resources Development Florida M. Dijan, and UP NCPAG Professor Alex Brillantes, Jr.
