MANILA, Philippines – Building on the numerous efforts that the DILG has embarked on in strengthening its internal governance capacity, the Local Government Academy (LGA), in collaboration with the human resource (HR) units of the department is conducting a planning activity entitled “Crafting A DILG Roadmap in Support of PRIME-HRM: Towards Strategic and Integrated HRMD in DILG”.

The activity will revisit the gains of the DILG in taking stock of its current HR state in order to determine the next steps in bringing the DILG HR Maturity Level 2 to Integrated Level 3.  The LGA’s target is for all regional HR units to reach Level 3 by the year 2022 under the Civil Service Commission’s (CSC) Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management or the PRIME-HR.  With the support of the DILG Administrative Service, the LGA also sets its sight for DILG to reach Strategic Level 4 Human Resource Management in the future.

Following a four-step approach (Reckoning, Reflecting, Recommending and Renewing) in improving its HR systems and processes, the participants will be able to identify the most compelling HR needs, plot out reasonable action commitments and agree on organizational arrangements towards the department’s goal of improving its PRIME-HR status.

The activity is scheduled on February 18-20, 2019 to be held at the ACE Hotel and Suites, Pasig City with the members of the DILG Regional HRMD teams in attendance and will be led by no less than Assistant Secretary for Administration and Finance Ester A. Aldana and LGA’s Executive Director Thelma T. Vecina.
